PlayStation Plus Free Games for August 2022 Available Now.
The latest lineup of games joining PlayStation Plus for the month of August 2022 are now free to download for subscribers. Within the past few days, Sony unveiled the newest slate of PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 games that would be available for PS Plus Essential members throughout the coming weeks. And as a whole, August happens to be one of the strongest offerings that PS Plus has seen so far in 2022.
For those that potentially missed the announcement the first time around, three new games in total will be joining PlayStation Plus in August 2022. This lineup is headlined by Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 , which is Activision's remastered version of the first two games in the beloved skating series. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 is also available to download via PS Plus as both a native PS5 and PS4 game.
Also joining PS Plus this month is that of Yakuza: Like a Dragon , which is the latest entry in the long-running Yakuza series from Sega. Like THPS 1+2 , Like a Dragon will be free to download as both a native game for PS5 and PS4 consoles. It also stands as the first addition of numerous Yakuza titles as Sony has also announced that it will be bringing the full Yakuza saga to PS Plus before 2022 comes to a close. However, it's worth noting that most of these Yakuza games will only be accessible to those with PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium.
Lastly, August 2022's group of PS Plus games is rounded out by Bandai Namco's Little Nightmares . First released back in 2017, Little Nightmares is a side-scrolling horror title that is similar to games like Limbo and Inside . The game will be available to download on PS Plus as a PS4 game, but will obviously be forward compatible with PS5.
What are your thoughts on this new slate of games joining PS Plus in August? Are you going to check out any of these games for yourself on PS5 or PS4 now that they're free? Let me know either down in the comments or shoot me a message on Twitter at @MooreMan12.

PlayStation Plus games for August: Hunter’s Arena: Legends, Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville, Tennis World Tour 2.
August’s PlayStation Plus lineup challenges you to test your mettle against dangerous demons, the combative undead, aggressive fauna and racket-wielding pros. Enjoy the fantasy warfare of Hunter’s Arena: Legends, teamwork hijinks in Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville and hit the court in Tennis World Tour 2 on Tuesday, August 3 when the titles join PlayStation Plus.
Let’s take a closer look at all three.
Hunter’s Arena: Legends | PS4, PS5.
As announced during State of Play earlier this month, Hunter’s Arena is coming to PlayStation Plus for both PS4 and PS5. The 30 player PvP & PvE combat-based battle royale* is set in an ancient age in which humanity battles each other as well as a growing legion of demons that have been unleashed upon the world. In this vicious frontier, you’ll face threats on two fronts. Head into high-risk, high-reward dungeons to encounter demonic foes. Dangerous but necessary for your continued survival: you’ll earn powerful items and experience points. Powering yourself up will give you a much-needed edge on the battlefield when you face off against your Hunter brethren.
Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville | PS4.
EA’s off-the-wall team shooter returns. Ready your peashooters for the next over-the-top instalment in the Plants vs. Zombies franchise as the tension expands beyond Neighborville into new social and free-roam regions on the outer reaches of gaming’s most contested township. Choose one of 20 fully-customizable character classes, and perfect your play-style as you earn new rewards for each victory on the battlefield. Team up with friends, either on couch co-op or online*, and take on a cavalcade of new challenges, tackling enemy hordes in PvE, going up against others online, or braving all-out mayhem in the new Battle Arena.
Tennis World Tour 2 | PS4.
Play as the world’s top players or create your own pro and try to dominate the world rankings. Play for fun or take on Ranked mode to sharpen your skills. In Career mode, manage your season, your staff, your equipment and your sponsors. Alternatively take on friends locally or online* in singles or doubles games. Whatever mode you choose, you’ll experience dynamic, realistic and precise gameplay that puts you in the heart of legendary rallies.
All three games will be available for PlayStation Plus members to add to their library until Monday, September 6.
Last chance to download July’s PlayStation Plus games.
July’s games lineup is making way for August’s new arrivals, so you’ve until Monday, August 2 to add Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, WWE 2K Battlegrounds, A Plague Tale: Innocence** and Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown to your game library.
*Online multiplayer requires PS Plus subscription; fees recur until cancelled. Age restrictions apply. Full terms: play.st/PSPlusTerms. **PS5 version only. Benefit not applicable for A Plague Tale: Innocence on PS4 consoles.

First PlayStation Plus Free Game For April 2023 Revealed.
Behaviour Interactive's new building-and-raiding game Meet Your Maker will launch on PlayStation Plus on April 4.
We're not even halfway through March, but we already know one of the PlayStation Plus free games for April 2023. Behaviour Interactive's brand-new game Meet Your Maker will be available on PS Plus starting April 4, the same day the game launches. Meet Your Maker is the first release-day freebie on PS Plus in a while, and unlike some past offers, it'll be playable on both PS5 and PS4. [ Update: The full lineup of PlayStation Plus games for April 2023 has been confirmed.]
Meet Your Maker is referred to by Behaviour Interactive as a "building-and-raiding game." It takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where Earth is on the brink of total annihilation. As the Custodian of the Chimera, the only thing that matters now is Genetic Material, which you need to acquire and protect.
To add to your stockpile of resources, you have to make your way through labyrinthine outposts that contain all sorts of obstacles and enemies. Meet Your Maker is community-focused and dynamic, as the outposts you attempt to steal from are built by other players. You control every aspect of your own outposts, from its general layout and traps to coordinating movements for your outpost guards. You can gain more control over the finer details of traps by modding them, and guards have augments that can make them more dynamic.
Both the building and raiding portions of Meet Your Maker are played from a first-person perspective. When you're raiding, you'll get to pick between three unique loadouts: ranged, melee, and defensive. There's an arsenal of guns and close-range weapons such as swords at your disposal.
Meet Your Maker can be played cooperatively with a friend. Two players can build and raid outposts alongside each other. Once other players attempt to complete your outposts, you can watch their runs with the replay system. Then you can use that data to go back and tinker with the outpost to your liking.
All tiers of PS Plus subscribers will be able to claim Meet Your Maker throughout April. Assuming that PlayStation doesn't view Meet Your Maker as one of the rare "bonus" freebies, it'll take one of the three slots in April's PS Plus lineup. In the meantime, don't forget to claim March's PlayStation Plus lineup, which includes Battlefield 2042, Minecraft Dungeons, and Code Vein.
